It may be July but I still enjoy a festive read
And if you'd like one, too, it could be just what you need!
It is the first in a new series of six books
All set in Cwtch Cove they're definitely worthy of more than looks.

Friends as teens, they're now forty-five. 
He's been away for years but has now arrived
He's helping his parents move to a new home
And starting to feel like he should no more roam.

Meeting his teen crush he'd hoped he might
Or how he'd feel when first they both caught sight.
What a fun (and embarrassing) encounter that proved to be,
Not exactly what either of them expected to see!

And a precocious six year old who is so kind
But not reticent about speaking her mind!
With laughter and attraction, worries and hope
You wonder how everyone will eventually cope.

Add in the festive season, too,
With pets, meals and things to do.
Together they all add up to a fun novella
In which you hope Carrie'll get her fella!

What a fun second chance romance this proved to be
With great characters, plot and family.
Set by the sea, this is a delightful read and so
I highly recommend you also give it a go!

Synopsis:

Single mum, Carrie Baker, has been feeling a bit lost since her daughter headed off to university. She avoids her empty nest in Cwtch Cove by devoting even more time than usual to her cleaning business, as well as doing what she can to support her widowed brother and his young daughter.

Experienced website developer, Ryan Davies, has plenty of work coming his way. He’s been living in a luxury apartment in Bristol with his mischievous French bulldog, Eric, and he tells himself all the time that life couldn’t be better. The problem is, he feels like something’s missing.

Ryan returns to Cwtch Cove to help his ageing parents with the sale of their house and their move to a retirement flat. With Christmas approaching, he wants them settled in their new home as soon as possible. He only plans to stay a few weeks, but then he bumps into old friend, Carrie.

As Carrie and Ryan get to know each other again at the most wonderful time of the year, the snow starts to fall and the festivities begin. Will there be romance in the air, or will they go their separate ways as the new year rolls in?
