Somewhere to review books I'm reading without giving away any spoilers!

Happy Publication Day to Eve Gaddy for her lovely, moving book, Hot Texas Trouble.

My Review:

When her fiancé is murdered, Jedidiah Walker's had enough
She no longer wants to be an undercover agent, grieving is too tough.
She returns to her hometown, where her family still live
In the hope that doing there to her some respite it will give.

She needs a job and new home so she can make a fresh start
But she's also determined, never more to risk her heart.
However, fate has other plans in mind
As she begins soon to find!

Working with a computer geek seems to be a safe dream
Though this geek rides a motorbike and isn't as quiet as he'd seem
The attraction between the two grows quite quickly but they resist
Will they keep on ignoring it or ponder on just what they might have missed?

With a special motorcycle club that helps support exploited children, too,
There's shocks in store and potential danger in what they do.
Can Jedidiah learn to trust to fate and give her heart
Or are these star-crossed lovers who will have to part?

What a lovely, moving read this story proved to be
One with love and caring at the centre of all you see.
I really enjoyed reading it and look forward to reading more
About this community that I'm sure you'll also adore.

For my complementary copy, I say thank you,
As I share with you this, my honest review.

Synopsis:

Jedidiah Walker has spent years embracing danger as an undercover agent for a secret government agency, but she barely escapes with her life when a mission goes south. Her fiancé and long-time partner isn’t so lucky. Burned out and grieving, Jedidiah returns home to Whiskey River intending to create a new, perfectly boring life. A job with app designer Trevor Holt is a dream. She can use her computer skills without death looming, and nothing says “safe” more than a computer geek.

Not exactly. Trevor may design apps, but he’s also tatted, muscular, and rides with a motorcycle club that provides support to exploited children. While sparks sizzle between them, Trevor’s conscious that as her employer, any romantic moves need to come from her.

Jedidiah falls hard for her sexy boss, but she senses he has a dangerous side that is beyond tempting—and precisely what she’s determined to avoid. Can Trevor convince her that what they have is worth the risk?
