Somewhere to review books I'm reading without giving away any spoilers!

Such an emotive read – One Day With You by Shari Low

One Day with You – two fateful goodbyes, two unexpected hellos, and 24 hours that change everything.

My Review:

WOW!! What an emotive read centred on just one day!
Twenty-four hours that will change life more than they could say.

Tress and Max Walker are excited as can be
As their new baby is due in a week or three.
Max's best friend is Noah Clark, they've been pals for years
But by the end of this day, one will be in tears.

Three friends for fifty years or more
Live nearby and next door.
They're getting ready for a fifty year school reunion party night,
Hoping to look great and hopefully not a fright!

When labour starts early, Tress is in a plight
She can't contact Max though trying with all her might.
Meanwhile Noah is trying to discover
Where his wife Anya is - and if she has a lover!

Nancy Jenkins to the rescue, along with her two friends
On their help getting Tress to the maternity ward she can depend.
Get ready for surprises that will change life for them all
On this day that forever they'll recall.

A story filled with drama and secrets uncovered,
As accidents, betrayal and more are discovered.
There's coping with loss, dementia, birth and death, too,
In this touching read, all the way through.

With great characters with whom it is easy to relate,
With more than enough on everybody's plate!
Whilst filled with drama, there's humour in it, too,
And I have no hesitation highly recommending it to you.

For my complementary copy, I say thank you,
As I share with you this, my honest review.

Synopsis:

One day, five lives, but whose hearts will be broken by nightfall?

It started like any other day in the picturesque village of Weirbridge.

Tress Walker waved her perfect husband Max off to work, with no idea that she was about to go into labour with their first child. And completely unaware that when she tried to track Max down, he wouldn’t be where he was supposed to be.

At the same time, Max’s best friend Noah Clark said goodbye to his wife, Anya, blissfully oblivious that he would soon discover the woman he adored had been lying to him for years.

And living alongside the two couples, their recently widowed friend, Nancy Jenkins, is getting ready to meet Eddie, her first true love at a school reunion. Will Nancy have the chance to rekindle an old flame, or will she choose to stay by Tress’s side when she needs her most?

Have your tissues on hand when you read it, Carla, just in case you need them! Five main characters and only one day in their lives but they’ll never be the same again …..
