A series of mysterious fires have been ruining derelict barns in the Tackleford region and the town’s young investigators need to get working to solve their cause. Unfortunately for them, Jack and Shaunna are too busy staring at and kissing each other to pay any attention to the possible pyromaniac in their midst so the others need to investigate the case and this means the young investigators are missing two of their teams! There two newcomers for them to investigate, too – there’s a strange being living under the bridge and a teenager, called Colm, starts trying to hang out with them.
This comic book is brilliantly illustrated and is very likely to appeal to teen readers as most of the story has characters in this age group as the heroes. The changing nature of relationships between groups of friends is fundamentally included as part of the story.
A great book for young teenagers, one that I think will appeal to either gender and will certainly be of interest to any who enjoy mystery stories and investigations. Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to read and review an ARC of this book.
