Title: SEAL’s Code – The Bad Boys of Seal Team 3 #3

Rating: 4/5
Danny Begay is a Dine warrior who has tried to drive out the voices of his ancestors for most of his life. When he is summoned back to visit his dying Grandfather, he realises it is time for him to change. He meets Luci Tohe, a teacher at the reservation school, and they have an explosive night together before he leaves to sort himself and his life out. He joins the Navy and trains successfully to become a SEAL. Finally proud of himself, he returns to the reservation to find he now has a son and that his attraction to Luci is as strong as ever. Luci, however, has other worries as she continues to work to secure the future for her fifteen year old sister and tries to keep her mum healthy as well as raising their son. She knows there are dangers around as young girls from the reservation are going missing. When Luci’s sister becomes one of the missing, can Danny use his new expertise as well as the voices of his ancestors to help bring her safely home again?
The characters are well portrayed, their feelings, relationships and attitudes clearly defined, making it easy to empathise with many of the main ones whilst reviling some of the ‘bad guys’. Whilst some SEALs from the earlier books are involved in this story, it still works as a standalone, too. This is a great addition to both series, being the third book in the Bad Boys of SEAL Team 3 and the tenth in the SEAL Brotherhood. It is another action packed thriller this time with human trafficking, dishonest officials, Dine Warriors and girls in danger as well as romance.
Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley too, for letting me read an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
