Definitely different and thoroughly enjoyable story about Lyssa Logan, a virtuoso violinist who is also great at getting criminals caught as they perpetrate their crimes because she can read the thoughts of anyone she’s near. Now that might sound like a great talent but it is proving increasingly difficult for her – imagine being in a crowded lecture theatre and hearing the thoughts of everyone around you! No wonder she’s been getting incredibly painful headaches and passing out, gradually losing her grip on reality as she hears what others are thinking but not saying!
Now, what she really needs is a hero to help her . . . . maybe it could be the new science professor – Kyros Vassalos? He’s a leather pants wearing hunk who explains to Lyssa that she’s an “extra-sentient,” like him! He wants to help her learn to control her abilities – and much more – but can she trust him and her feelings towards him? What will be the consequences of their developing relationship and what is he so worried about? Well, you’ll just have to read the book to find out!
Enjoyed the author’s style, with an intriguing plot and great characters who I hope we’ll get to meet again in future stories in this series!
