My Review:

What a hilarious festive read this turned out to be – I loved it!

It has a great recipe with two brilliant lead characters:

Minnie – A beautiful model who is the naive, very protected daughter of a criminal motorbike club leader

Big Mike – An ex-Special Forces Soldier who is also an ex member of a rival motorbike club and her boyfriend.

Christmas is coming. Minnie is going home to spend the festive season with her Dad. She’s looking forward to it – until she discovers that her Dad has invited Big Mike to go with her. Now she’s worried. Mike keeps people safe, he’s a protector and will fight for those he protects. However, against the members of the motorbike club, will anyone stand a chance?

Minnie has been protected by her Dad, who effectively banned any of the club members from having anything but a very platonic and protective relationship with her . . . but now he’s removed that ban, though Minnie knows nothing about it. Get ready for some really funny interactions as her Dad, her psycho brother and three club lieutenants try to lure Minnie away from Mike and Mike keeps on trying to protect her without hurting any of the others! Can he stop himself hurting them as the lieutenants make a play for his woman? Of course not! However, how will Minnie react when she finds out? Will she still love him more than his competition? Can he win over her Dad so he’ll accept him as her boyfriend?

Whilst this is a short festive read, it is also well constructed, a laugh out loud page turner and delightfully hilarious romance that is brilliant to escape into. I have read the story of the main characters meeting in On the Run  On The RunI suspect that you’ll need to have read that first to really appreciate this story, however I’ll just say again that I loved it – hope anyone else reading it does, too!

Many thanks to the publishers and NetGalley for gifting me an ARC of this novel with no obligation. This is my honest review.

Synopsis

Mistletoe mayhem! Cooked Goose is a hilarious holiday love story filled with sizzle, sugar, and sass…

“Your father called me. He invited me for Christmas. I have a ticket for the same flight as you. Tonight.”

With those words, Big Mike sucked the oxygen out of the room. Minnie intended her father would meet her new man, Big Mike… eventually. Minnie wanted to give Daddy time to get used to the idea that his ‘little girl’ is embroiled in a serious relationship. A few decades, perhaps. Because Daddy’s not your run-of-the-mill protective father – he’s a criminal. But now Minnie is heading home for the holidays with Big Mike in tow.

Big Mike is no delicate violet. He’s quiet and lethal, an ex-Special Forces soldier whose day job involves ‘keeping the Free World safe’. But Big Mike doesn’t want to spoil Minnie’s Christmas and promises not to hurt anyone… His resolve will be tested by Minnie’s father, her psycho brother and three outlaw lieutenants who want his woman.

This novella is packed with everything needed for a very merry Christmas: love, family, laughter and psychos.
