Now Nicole, Blake, and the three others with elemental powers must stop a series of monsters that they previously believed to be dead from rising once again and destroying the mortal world. The creatures they face on this journey will be more dangerous than anything they’ve encountered yet. Will they all survive the quest? And how long will it be until Nicole is forced to use her ability to kill in front of everyone, revealing the true darkness of her powers?

My review:

The first book in this series was a great read and I jumped at the opportunity to continue reading this paranormal ya series with its superb lead characters who are contemporary teens involved with witchcraft and mythology. As the five teens endeavour to hone their skills with and without their elemental powers they are challenged to complete a quest which will have them facing further dangers as they encounter more mythological creatures.

The story is well structured with great primary and secondary characters. I would recommend reading the first book in the series before this one as the tales are sequential and I believe it really does help make more sense if you know what happened previously. The relationships between the Elementals continues to develop and there are some unexpected revelations in discussions between the teens during this story. As the adventure progresses, they have help from powerful sources and make a potentially dangerous enemy. It is an enthralling read, a page turner that continues to surprise and entertain. I can’t wait to know what happens next!

I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys reading about teens with paranormal powers fighting to save mankind in a story packed with magic, mythology and adventure!

The adventure began in the first book in the series, Elementals: The Prophecy of Shadows! To learn more about the first book, and to read the first four chapters for free, click here! To read my review of it, click here!

The Elementals series is available on Kindle Unlimited, so subscribers can read it for free!
