Hilarious #romcom – What Now? by Shari Low #BlogTour

The follow-up sequel to the bestselling ‘What If?’ from Shari Low

Twenty years ago, Carly Cooper went on an epic quest to track down all the men she’d ever loved and lost in the hope that one of them was her Mr Right.

Now, two decades and two teenage sons later, she thinks she might have got it all wrong.

As the years have passed, lots of things have changed, leaving Carly asking ‘What Now?’

With a divorce and an empty nest on the horizon, Carly sets off once more to Los Angeles with her band of trusty girlfriends, to find the carefree, wild and adventurous Carly Cooper that she used to be.

On this latest quest, Carly discovers a few home truths and has to decide If her marriage is worth saving or is there a new happy-ever-after out there, just waiting for her…

My Review:

I enjoyed reading ‘What If?‘, the previous book in this series, which is set twenty years ago when Carly Cooper set off to see if any of the men she’d loved and split up with were actually her Mr Right. Having decided one of the was, twenty years and two sons later she’s reconsidering her choices and has separated from her husband. Her best friends and Aunt all get her to realise that she’s left behind her wild, adventurous self and they set out to help her rediscover herself by travelling over to America with her. Get ready for more journeys, trips down memory lane, meeting up with folks from her past, going viral on the internet, being arrested and several romances, including a second chance romance for Carly! This is another fun read and such a lovely change to go back to visit characters I’d read about to discover what they’ve done with their lives since the initial story.

Aunt Val is still hilarious! Her besties are totally the best and the story has a lovely mix of humour and kindness as well as some thought provoking scenarios, too. Can Carly re-invent herself as the fun-loving person we met in ‘What If?’ or has time erased that from her personality? You’ll have to read it for yourself and journey with this great gang to find out and discover the role of a cheese grater in it all, too!

Thank you to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for my copy of this book which I have voluntarily read and honestly reviewed.

I have not read What If, but have found both of these books on Hoopla through my library, so they are going on my wishlist TBR. I wish I had more time.😁 Nice review Elaine.

Definitely read ‘What If?’ first – ‘What Now’ follows on twenty years later. I’ll be interested in reading your reviews of them both!
